What Makes FundingHope Different?

Author: Dorian Dickinson

Whether you are an innovative, aspiring entrepreneur with a dream to grow your sustainable business in your community, or an established small business owner looking to additional raise capital to increase local employment, scale your business, and introduce new products, FundingHope is a Regulation Crowdfunding platform you should explore. Here’s your chance to learn about what makes FundingHope different…

FundingHope is the only Regulation Crowdfunding platform that is solely for entrepreneurs and small business owners contributing to sustainability in distressed, at-risk, and rural communities across the United States. You don’t need to be headquartered in one of these communities, but you do need to be working to improve a traditionally disadvantaged community.

Approved businesses can raise up to $5 million annually from impact investors, the “crowd”, who can become valuable partners driven to help your business succeed, and your community grow. Our investors want to make an impact and a real difference with their investments. Some are accredited and experienced investors, others are new to investing and want to start small. The minimum investment on FundingHope is only $100, so nearly everyone can be an impact investor on FundingHope.

FundingHope is different than most investment crowdfunding platforms. In most cases, Regulation Crowdfunding marketplaces expect you to raise all the funds you need from your customers, friends, family, fans, and community members. At FundingHope, we know the challenges small business owners in underserved communities already face. We aim to take some of the heavy lifting off our business owners in need of funding by attracting sustainability focused everyday investors to our site, and your campaign. In short, our efforts attract new people to your business and to the opportunity to be an investor in your business. This new attention to your business can be much more valuable to your company than just the investors’ cash.

Your investors from the “crowd” can align with your passions and successes, making them passionate brand ambassadors who are happy to spread the word about your company and your products. All of which help increase your revenue. At the same time, your new impact investors get an opportunity to own a piece of a company they love.

FundingHope offers an attractive referral program where individuals can refer companies in need of funding, as well as potential investors who are as committed to sustainable investing as they are. In addition to sharing a piece of what is raised, we even have a unique name for people participating in our referral program. They are our BridgeBuilders.

FundingHope is the place where everyday investors can use the power of their capital to make a difference with every dollar they invest. Their investments go directly to businesses who have been left behind by traditional banks and Wall Street, especially minority entrepreneurs, women founders, and rural small business owners committed to growing a stronger planet. FundingHope is the online investment marketplace where entrepreneurs who have historically had a difficult time raising capital can now build sustainable businesses, create generational wealth, develop increased economic development activity in their communities, and leave behind the limited opportunities and lack of hope in the past.

Before the JOBS Act of 2012 was signed into law, only wealthy accredited investors could invest in early-stage private companies.
